When we started Something Good Merchandise, we had many hopes for the brand.
We wanted SGM to be a company that provided Broadway/musical theatre fans with products that allowed them to easily express their fandom for their favorite performers and shows. We wanted to use this brand as a way to give back by donating to numerous charities. We wanted to develop a following and loyal customer base.
But, more than that, we wanted to connect with fellow Broadway fans and form some sort of community.
At SGM, we are firm believers that community is one of the most important things you can have. Connection is a special thing, and interests are more enjoyable when you can bond over and share them with others.
One of the many people we have been introduced to through this brand’s existence is Allison, our very first brand ambassador.
A Utah native, Allison is a Broadway fan and a college student studying English. Aside from Broadway and musicals, she enjoys makeup, reading, writing, books, journaling, and history―especially that of the 1940s and 1950s. As a brand ambassador, she will be helping with brand/product promotion and development.
We always knew it would be cool to start a brand ambassador program; it’s a great way to expand brand awareness and connect with others. We just didn’t know when to do it or who to begin with. But we can’t think of a customer better than Allison to start our brand ambassador program with.
From her first purchase with us, it was clear she had such a genuine interest in our brand and designs. It was so fulfilling to come across someone so excited about what we had to offer and what we were doing. Little things like that make having ever started this company worthwhile.
Since then, her support for the brand has been amazing. We can always count on her to show us some love on social media and to interact with our content, and it has been wonderful getting to know her as well. We’ve panicked about Corey and Casey Cott’s haircuts, and we’ve bonded over a shared sadness for Bandstand.
Welcome to the company, Allison!
